II was only twelve years old when I went to the cinema, saw the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991), and, apart from falling in love with Kevin Costner in his Robin Hood outfit, I fell in love much more even with the voice of Canadian rock singer-songwriter Bryan Adams. It was not merely his voice that struck me. As a young teenager I was also quite sensitive to the lyrics of his romantic softrock song “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” from his 1991 album Waking Up the Neighbours, which was used as a soundtrack for the film, and definitely made me swoon!
Bryan Adams Tour 2018
I can still recall it as if it happened yesterday, that I became a massive fan of Bryan Adams instantly, and started to do proper investigation after all the records he released previous to that very one soundtrack. Of course, I came across other well-known Bryan Adams songs, such as “Run to You”, “Summer of 69” and “Heaven”; songs I was not too aware of at the time they came out, for I was happily playing in kindergarten and primary school, then, being far too much occupied with stuff like climbing trees and playing tag, things I regarded as being much more important at the time. Later on, his 1993 song “Please Forgive Me” greatly added to my gleeful state of devotion. Bryan Adams has launched quite a few albums since his eponymous debut album in 1980, and after a small hiatus between 2004 and 2008, he has just released a new album in March 2018, named 11. To find out what the songs of this album are like, you will have the ultimate chance during the 2018 tour he is doing from September this year onwards! Of course, I have already bought the album, and got hold of tickets for the 2018 Bryan Adams tour. Now, I am just impatiently waiting, and looking forward to the concert while wearing the record out, and I would recommend you to do the same…
His Background
Bryan Adams has English as well as Maltese roots, however, was born in Kingston, Canada. With a diplomat for a father, he saw many different places in the world, travelling around in Europe, having lived in Portugal, and finally returning to Canadian soil. Apart from his music career of which the foundations have already been laid when he was 15 and started playing in bands, Bryan Adams has got other ‘tricks up his sleeve’ as well, such as photography. As a photographer Bryan Adams is also doing fairly well, for he has had lots of photographic exhibitions of which one I have seen in the London Canada House in 2006! It was really great to see another, different side of my all-time favourite artist, and to find out that he puts his heart and soul into photography as much as he puts it into his music. As if he hasn’t got enough occupations already, Bryan Adams is also unstoppable as a social activist, helping to raise money for all kinds of charities. Need I say more about this great artist? Go and find out soon what his newest album is like, and make sure to visit one of his upcoming concerts! Tickets for the Bryan Adams 2018 Tour are still available at concertics.com.
