R&B and Soul Music Tickets

With its start in the 1950s in the US, the mix of rhythm and blues has moved to varieties of Memphis, Motown, Neo and melody. As soul music evolved it leaned heavily on influences from Ray Charles, James Brown, Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett to achieve that classic sound exemplified by Aretha Franklin in "Respect." As of fall, 2010, though, you'd better be lookin' out for those hot tickets to the Usher tour, because he's comin' to a town near you! Plus, other sizzling tours too, so buy Drake tickets, check out the John Legend tour dates, and even some old soul favorites, like the Al Green schedule - where you'll see Al playing with BB King and Buddy Guy and at multiple music festivals, too! If all of the above still ain't cuttin' it, how about some real old school soulies like The Four Tops tickets or a stirring night on one of The Temptations tour dates? Failing that, we have last, but by no means least, the greatest soul exponent of them all; ladies and gentlemen, I give you Smokey Robinson tickets and Sade tickets...need I say more?

Soul continues to adopt new and Old School sounds, and in the new millenium the trancendent soul singer Lauryn Hill has been one of the hottest. She's back in action, and Lauryn Hill tickets are about as hot as they come. The talented Earth, Wind & Fire, whose recent induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame has added yet another staple to their success, are nother hot item. Earth, Wind & Fire is the real deal, and tickets are expected to be as hard to find as Diana Ross tickets or seats on the Gladys Knight tour.

A great soul favorite, Charlie Wilson, has got some fall concerts lined up, so take a seat and enjoy "Uncle Charlie" and his soothing tunes. Even as Soul continues to grow as a genre and classics from such well renownedartists as Mary J. Blige and Patti Labelle continue to sell fast. Large acts like Kesha have gathered influence from some of the biggest names in Soul and have even gone overseas on tour. Soul will urge you to Get Up Offa That Thing and get your groove on at a soul music concert today.
